The Importance of the Male Neck

How is the Male Neck Lift Procedure Performed?
In general, the procedure typically addresses the neck in four stages:
- male neck liposuction to eliminate any excess fatty tissue under the chin and along the jawline
- tightening and lifting of the platysma, a large muscle in the neck to support the neck and contour the jawline
- release of deep wrinkles known as horizontal neckbands, and 4) removal of sagging neck skin.

What is the Recovery From A Male Neck Lift?
A male neck-lift procedure is performed as an outpatient surgery lasting approximately 3 hours. In certain cases, the procedure may be performed under moderate sedation, yet in most cases maximum results can only be achieved under mild general anesthesia. During the first week following male neck lift surgery a head wrap and compression band is worn to reduce swelling. Results are immediately visible and continue to improve as swelling subsides and skin tightens. All visible stitches are removed after one week allowing most patients the option to return to face-to-face social and work interactions in about ten days.

The neck and jawline will be more defined resulting in a more youthful, fit and rejuvenated appearance. Most men report these changes lead to an increase in self-confidence and bolster the confidence of others in you.
