How’s your peripheral view? Does something keep getting in the way?
It could be your droopy eyelids.
Not only are they annoying, they can also be dangerous. Be honest: who does not need to see clearly in all directions during rush hour traffic on North Central Expressway or I-635 pretty much anytime of day or night?
Your eyelid lift in Frisco, TX, treats sagging eyelids so you can see better—while driving, walking, working, playing, you name it. It can also make your face look younger and more refreshed, with your eyes appearing more open and awake.

What is the best age for an eyelid lift?
There’s no single “best age” for getting an eyelid lift in Frisco. People in their teens can have an eyelid lift when medical or hereditary issues cause their eyelids to droop (ptosis) and restrict vision. People in their 80s can have droopy eyelid correction to improve their sight and refresh their appearance.

We find that most requests for blepharoplasty come from patients in their 30s to 60s, with the majority in their 50s. The natural effects of aging tend to cause or worsen drooping eyelids and under-eye bags, and people in this age range notice them the most.
We are also seeing an emergence of patients wanting to correct tired-eyes—especially when it does not match how they feel inside.
What’s the difference between upper and lower eyelid surgery?
With upper eyelid surgery, Dr. Beck makes small, precise incisions in the natural creases of your eyelids. This ensures that minimal scarring occurs. Then, he removes excess skin and fat to lift and tighten the eyelid and reduce any puffiness that worsens the droop.
In the end, the sagging eyelid no longer impairs the visual field, and the face attains a refreshed, natural look.
For that luggage being carried under the eyes, Dr. Beck places a discreet incision along the lash line or inside the lower lid. He removes or repositions excess fat to diminish (and in some cases eliminate) under-eye bags or puffiness, with the goal to help you look less tired and more youthful.
Is my “drooping eyelid” causing some of my other eye problems?
Those sagging upper eyelids and puffy lower eyelids do more than make you look older or block your field of vision. They can also cause:
- Blurred vision, especially when watching TV.
- Double vision, also known as diplopia.
- Light sensitivity.
- Eye pain.
- Dry or watery eyes.
See your ophthalmologist for diagnosis and referral. During your personal consultation, Dr. Beck can discuss how to move forward so that you get the best care possible.
