Brow Lift
The eyebrows and forehead are exceptionally important for conveying emotion. A heavy, drooping forehead and excessive wrinkling can give the false impression of fatigue, sadness, anger or confusion.
How do I know if I need a Browlift?
Initially, non-surgical browlift techniques with Botox, fillers and thread lifts may treat drooping eyebrows or a wrinkled forehead. Unfortunately, at some point in time a heavy brow will no longer respond to injectables and other non-surgical browlift procedures. As the brow continues to fall, peripheral vision may become impaired due to skin folds hanging over the eyes.
What is a Browlift?
A brow lift is a key component of facial rejuvenation surgery and is about much more than eliminating forehead creases. Browlift surgery will restore facial balance by treating forehead muscles, and removing excess sagging skin. Forehead wrinkles, creases between the eyes (the 11’s) and upper nose (bunny lines), drooping eyebrows and lateral hooding of the brow (an extra fold of skin that partially covers the outer eyelid) will all be dramatically improved. In addition, excess weight pushing down on the upper eyelid skin will be reduced thus eliminating the look of “tired eyes”.
How will I look after a Browlift?
A browlift procedure can support and lift the brow, raise and arch the eyebrows, smooth forehead wrinkles and improve peripheral vision. The goal of a cosmetic browlift is to restore a more vibrant, awake, and refreshed appearance.
How is a browlift performed?
The classic approach to lifting the brow, called a coronal browlift, requires a well-hidden incision on the scalp, often stretching from ear to ear. While a coronal browlift is certainly an effective technique, the majority of concerns about brow appearance may be addressed with a “temporal browlift” or “endoscopic browlift” which using multiple, smaller scalp incisions compared to this classic approach. These advanced Browlift techniques have a shorter time of surgery, faster recoveries, and less visible scar placement. All brow lift surgery is done on an outpatient basis, under mild general anesthesia. Recovery time can be as short as a few days after surgery, with full results visible once swelling subsides.
Can other female face surgery procedures be done at the same time?
A browlift for women can be done alone or in conjunction with other female plastic surgery and facial rejuvenation procedures such as a facelift, eyelid lift, laser and skin resurfacing.
