Do I need an Upper Lip Lift?
As we age, collagen levels drop and skin elasticity decreases causing facial proportions change. These changes often result in a heavy or long upper lip. In turn, the added weight and tissue of the upper lip will thin the red portion of the lips, weigh down the corners of the mouth and reduce the size of your smile. Taken together, this produces:
a) a spontaneous smile that does not look as big and natural as it used to; or
b) the look of being tired or grumpy when you don’t feel that way at all.

How is an Upper Lip Lift performed?
An upper lip lift consists of removing excess skin between the base of your nose and the red portion of the upper lip. It is one of the most simple and effective ways to permanently accentuate the upper lip and highlight the features essential for a full, natural smile.
The upper lip lift typically takes 45 minutes to 1 hour. The procedure can be performed as an office based procedure with local anesthetic or, if preferred, in a setting using twilight or general anesthesia. External incisions are well hidden along the base of the nose and within the nostrils. Most people experience minimal swelling making recovery and return to face-to-face interaction relatively swift.
Can other female face surgery procedures be done at the same time?
An upper lip lift for women can be done alone or in conjunction with other female plastic surgery and facial rejuvenation procedures such as a facelift., chin implant., laser and skin resurfacing.
